Those four phrases describe all HearthStone stoves and apply particularly to one of our favorite models, The Manchester. The Manchester comes in wood and pellet; let’s explore the similarities and differences of each model.
Manchester Convective Wood Stove
As its name implies, the Manchester uses a convection air channel with an integrated cast iron heat exchanger. This encourages airflow and efficiently moves heat throughout the home – heating up to 2,400 sq. ft.
A 2.9 cubic foot soapstone-lined firebox holds logs up to 24 inches. The firebox captures and stores heat so your space stays toasty longer – up to 14 hours.
The Manchester wood stove features an oven-style side door (you can choose a right or left side door) that helps keep ashes in the firebox. The ash tray is removable, making the stove easy to clean.
This stove also looks great from any angle, because it includes a decorative cast rear heat shield. It comes in two lovely finishes: black matte or brown majolica enamel.
Manchester Pellet Stove
Maximizing the heat to your home is a hallmark of HearthStone stoves, and the Manchester pellet is no exception. The hopper holds up to 60 lbs. of pellets, and a high-efficiency tube heat exchanger provides a generous output, heating up to 2,000 sq. ft.
The stove has a low EPS emission rating of 1.3 grams per hour, making it one of the most efficient and clean-burning pellet stoves in the industry.
The stove is both quiet and attractive. High-quality fans ensure quiet operation, while the interior finished firebox and oval burn pot display an unparalleled flame.
Like its wood stove cousin, the Manchester pellet stove comes in either black matte or brown majolica enamel finishes.
